Website Hosting

I am currently responsible for hosting over 60 websites for companies across the UK. My server which is based on a fast network in the UK is regularly monitored and maintained. The software on the server is regularly updated to ensure that your website is secure and will suffer from minimal or no downtime.

If you currently have a website you may be aware of some of the potential headaches involved with hosting. For something that seems to simple it can often be a minefield of technical information! Like most things, you get what you pay for and cheap hosting is often a bit of a con - as you try to add more functionality to your site or if your website gets a lot of traffic then your hosting may start to cause you problems.

My web server uses the latest VPS “cloud” technology and features the following:

Content Delivery Network (CDN)

Nobody likes sitting waiting for a website to load. A fast web server is one of the most important aspects to speeding up your website. Fast and reliable hosting is essential for any successful website, but this can be sped up even more by using a content delivery network (CDN).

A CDN is a special network of servers that copies your files such as images, video, css or java script and then serves them to visitors just like a webserver - not just any server though, one that is super charged! These servers are located around the world, so you will always be downloading from the one that is nearest to your location

All of the images on this site are served from a CDN - yours could too, and it could only take a few hours to implement.
